The New Local is thrilled to once again be a part of El Centro Amistad's Día de Muertos offerings. Check out the nonprofit's altar, at TNL Annex, 713 Pearl St., in Boulder, that pays homage to female creatives who left a mark. It is available to view through Nov. 7 and is a part of the official altar tour that runs through Friday. Join us on Sunday, Nov. 2, at TNL Annex, for all-ages crafts (popped amaranth sugar-skull decorating, Día de Muertos coloring and corn husk dolls) at 3:30p.m. After art making, a small procession will leave from TNL Annex at 4:30 p.m. and stretch to Boulder County Historic Courthouse lawn to join other Carinas & Catrines for a celebration of dance, music and the construction of a large communal altar.
